Be Sure To Stay Tuned For More Of My Comics

Like Trash 3:ll, coming up will be Jullanja@zombieapocalypse_com. We'll have a ball with this one. It's about Zombies and a poor homeless woman who fights her way for survival among the Living Dead.

I'm still looking for an artist for this particular book. There are wonderful prospects out there and in time, I will have a good looking comic book. I have checked out Atlantisstudios.net They can do a whole comic book. That means your idea, with a professional artist that fits what you are looking for; to achieve that comic styled book you idolize for a reasonable price. It's not a bad idea. I hope to work with them in the future. They have pretty good artist. Check the site out.

Incredibile Hulk the Movie Rocked!

At Dynamic Forces they have a special. The magazine is signed by Greg Pak. The cost of the comic book is killer low of $8.00. Spend your money wisely you guys while you can or before this book sells out to a lucky customer (and may it be you).

Dynamic forces doesn't only sell things on Hulk but other famous superheroes such as Red Sonja, Conan and now they have something on Spider Man, so get your wallets out and go for the bargains--it'll be worth it.

I'm Just Drooling Here.

If you like anything that deals with EC Comics you're my kind of guy or gal. You know me it's the scary comics that I love. I can curl up in bed and be scared by the stories based within these colorful covers. And by the way aren't they well written stories. It's these stories that really proves the writer or writers who uses their craft well. And may we in the comic field follow in pursuit of that.

Yeah, I know, I've heard it before: "It's way back when... or that's so old" Trust me kiddies, it's the old that really brings the chills to you in the right way. Trust me or my name isn't Lavel Wideman. (And yes, I've gone to court to change my last name legally, so don't call the cops okay?)

I remember as a kid when my dad was into his Conan the Barbarian, my brother into his Thor, I was into the things, what we call the creepy like EC Comics and...and...(they can't come to mind I will get on the road of remembrance) Tales of the Crypts; and a host of other comics boys and girls that we will surely embark on, here at Bound To Happen Comics, along with the making of my own comic book TRASH 3:11. We're going to have some fun, trust me. We'll also be doing comic book movie reviews so be sure to check here often. Don't miss out on the fun, okay?

Commercial: Haunted Sixteen

I Know It's Been A While...

Yes, it's been a while since I've last talked with you guys and I've been very very busy, so with that said, I hope there is some room for forgiveness. I'm trying to upload my comic book to a site that I go to a lot; the site pertains to movie scripts and this time they have a special section on comic books, however, they only take it if it's in PDF form. I've got a free trial with Adobe but getting the files all in one file--that's pretty painstaking if you know what you are doing and my little is not clicking yet with certain technology as fast. You know what I mean. In other words, I'm not Bill Gates.

Just above is the second page of my comic book TRASH 3:11. And that's Trash's mother who abandons him in an alley where two homeless people finds him and raises him to be a superhero for the poor and homeless. It's a nice comic book, I do say so myself. I love it, and so will you, whenever you have the chance to buy it.

And happily, it's with words this time. I've finally got my CD (out of the storage), but, like I said it's getting the file in one form to upload it to the site it's giving me the problem, I'll be okay if I get the help there. Any suggestions out there, let me know, will gladly be received.

I'll also be posting other things pertaining to comic books, as well as things in the horror genre,if you notice my posting of Fangoria, which I'm a fan of, will be up, so look for that too. I've just signed up for Kody Chamberlain's Newsletter and it's pretty cool. With that said I hope this blog will be interesting for you; I'm sure in time you will like it. Bye for now.

Making of Trash 3:11

By luck and great preserverance, the artist Ricky and I, are still great friends. And I hope to God it stays that way. We've come too far to give up now on the basis of lack of funds that keeps the process of making TRASH 3:11 real. We would like to see this comic book up and out to the public so we can say all of that was well worth it. We'll keep optimism high, not all that's down, stays down. I'm sure with time we can become a published entity. BOOT PRODUCTIONS: BOUND TO HAPPEN COMICS hopefully, will be known around the world someday and I would like to say "I got my lucky break from Blogger."

The pages below are pages from TRASH 3:11. When I had posted them I forgot to put the last one first and work my way up. It's funny how this blog works. I really don't want to fix it just yet. I'll do in time.

PHOTO ON BOTTOM: PAGE ONE

The first page contains the picture of TRASH'S mother who winds up pregnant by his alien dad, who she thinks was a guy at school, but really isn't the guy. She now has given birth to a child who she thinks isn't normal. Her parents don't know about the pregnancy and now the mother feels the only way to get rid of the problem is to dump it somewhere. She picks an alley where she feels no one will know of her secret and scantily walks away abandoning the newborn in a dumpster.

Comic #1:TRASH 3:11

We'll deal with the first comic that I made. TRASH 3:11 is an original idea that I created first dealing mainly on the Homeless; I tend to lean towards that area, which I know in other comics books you don't have Homeless people raising an half-alien half human child with powers. Only in Superman you see regular people who happen to be common folk who happen to work and have a normal lifestyle raising this child unlike any human child.

What I wanted to do here with TRASH 3:11 is bring the not so normal than the quite normal out in the forefront. Ricky and I, we love this book. You know we sent it to Zuda Comics who are affiliated with DC Comics and they turned us down, they said quote on quote "Someone has already come up with the idea and the writing wasn't suitable". And my question is "Who?" Has someone stolen my idea to make it there own? And secondly about the writing I'm sorry to burst a bubble here, but it's the writing that's brought this comic book to life. It was my script where you see these characters displayed on the paper along with Ricky's wonderful artwork. To me, in my opinion, I think we would have won by a landslide because the comics they had up, just a couple caught my eye, but the rest didn't do anything. They weren't comic book worthy so to speak. So here are a few pages from the comic book. Tell me how you like it. They're without the words. In time I will post pages with but now I'll just leave it like is. So leave comments please.

Comic Book #3

Artist: Jennifer
Cover Artist: Cakka Dhama
Writer: Lavel Wideman

This is my third comic book, Jullanja@zombieapocalypse.com. Okay, I think you noticed the cover artist's name. Trust me, when I first worked with him, he told me to call him Cak-ka. I asked him are you sure you want me to call you that and pleasingly he said "yes." I'm not going to put anyone down because they're proud of their name, alright? Just like if a guy was given a girl's name or vice versa, it's what you're parents named you, okay. Not your fault.
I came up with the idea of Jullanja, where a homeless woman fights for survival among the living dead. I'm a zombie fan, I must admit. The concepts of my books must have homeless situations in them, they can't be of the norm. They must involve the forgotten as much as possible. When looking for a name for my character I read a book about screenplays, and there I saw the name Jullanja. I fell in love with the character as well as the name. The author described her being a Black Carribean with half blue, and half black eyes, of mixed heritage. I said, "I got to have that." So I contacted the author personally through e-mail. Got his permission to use the name; he gave me the okay. If you happen to look, my Homeless Drifter, if you look carefully in the drawings, you can see, he also has different tones of color in his eyes, even though, one is a cataract, the other normal.
Jullanja, is in the process of being made over, including cover. The artist and I never got along. Jennifer is an excellent artist by the way, she just asked for more than I could afford giving her. I was going by the budget, Jennifer wasn't. We went our seperate ways, with a few choice words, and that was that. For Jullanja, I want a more Marvel comic book feel to this edition. The eight pages are very much Marvel, it's just that, the artist and I aren't working together. So I'm in the task to looking for another artist for this issue as well. Anyone interested? Contact me or leave a comment.

Comic Book # 2

THE HOMELESS VET
ARTIST: JACOB GIADONO
WRITER: LAVEL WIDEMAN

The Homeless Vet, I came up with this idea when I passed a street and there on a busy sidewalk I saw a guy with no legs; he was unkempt in appearance. He and his wife; obviously he was a homeless man holding up a sign saying "Please help this Homeless Vet and his wife." Right there you have someone who could not support himself but he asked people if they could spare a dime, to help his wife out. I thought that was very profound. The state which I live, there are many Homeless Vets, out on the streets begging for money, any loose change would do, and you wonder where has everything gone wrong? Where men and women who fought for their country, proudly, are now sticking out dirty hands for relief ,however, in turn the country (the government) has their backs turned to helping them.
Although my comic book deals with the Vietnam War and Veterans, which I really don't want to bring up old wounds or step on any toes. The comic book is basically about a Veteran, his dog tag was stolen by a young boy, who happens to be from a tribe in Vietnam, who deals in black magic. This particular Vet isn't a good guy: he did a little mischief in Vietnam that caught some townspeoples attention, especially from this tribe and they are out to getting him, and so they did. Cursed, he is brought back from the dead to live through a souveigner collector of all things, a war buff, and this war buff must now tell his story for a certain peace to reside in Vietnam, but only when he goes through certain things, especially 'homelessness' before the truth is revealed. It has supernatural elements; the first issue is only eight pages long. Jacob said he's working on another project and won't be able to put full focus on the second issue. So I'm looking for another artist to work with me on the second book. Hopefully, book two will be out this year or next.

Step One:

TRASH 3:11

ARTIST: RICKY SWAIN

WRTITER: LAVEL WIDEMAN

#1: TRASH 3:11 is my first comic book for BOOT PRODUCTIONS. It's about an half-alien, half-human,and as a baby, he was found in a dumpster by two homeless people, who raises him and from that he becomes a superhero for the poor. TRASH 3:11 is really different in aspect to other comic books. Everyone knows who Superman is, and Spiderman, and the Incredible Hulk, I grew up with a comic book lover home, my dad. His favorite were Conan the Barbarian and Red Sonja, the X-men, Iron Man, and the list goes on.

Most my of my comic books deal with the homeless. All my work sort of caters around that theme, that setting, the alley, the downtrodden and I mixed them up to what I want my comic books to display, so most of my comic books are based on the 'homeless issue.' That's key here at BOOT PRODUCTIONS. We aim to please, especially rooting for those who aren't noticed.

IN THE BEGINNING

Hi, my name is Lavel Wideman; I like to invite you to what it seems to be the making of my small comic book company called Bound To Happen Comics. Here, I will display some work from individual comic books like: Trash 3:11, Jullanja at zombieapocalypse, and The Homeless Vet with other comic books along the way.

My artist and I want to see these comic books up and out to the public soon as possible but to be honest, I have to tell you, I'm really lazy now in that department since the last altercation I had with a homeless visitor; just going out to conventions, and looking around for a publisher or to find someone who will sponsor my poor seedling of a company. I don't know how to go about doing that to tell you the truth. And I can also say there's a little fear there. If anyone is out there who has any suggestions at all I'm all open for advice, so please leave comments and good how-to's. I will be so grateful for the help. A comic book fan for quite a long time so you know.

Along with that I hired some really good talented artist to draw these books, and of course, I'm the writer/owner. One artist in particular is my long awaited friend Ricky Swain; he's the artist for Trash 3:11; in a bit I will show you some of his work and show his talents, which is not to be played with, I kid you not. My entire artists are really cool people. From here I like to take you step by step of what we're trying to do for my comic book company Bound To Happen Comics. I just hope you'll have a blast at this site. Welcome everyone!
